Spent most of the day Saturday "puttering" in the Coach. First weekend in a while that it wasn't 20 degrees and up to my butt in snow.

Changed all the interior lights to LED and got rid of the bright lights over the bed. Replaced with Brushed Aluminum, directional LED reading lights. Think it will be a large improvement.

Next is hopefully a sliding cargo tray for the basement.

Pex pipe and the plastic fittings are getting to be near universal today. If you have a new house built, unless you pay extra, it will almost certainly be plumbed with pex.

I replaced the old iron pipe in mine, 30 years ago with cpvc pipe. It is still doing fine.

Elliott, it'll be a couple weeks before I'm back at the rig but will take some pictures.

I actually was talking about the fitting themselves. The redwood has plastic fitting at the end of every PEX pipe and all the Ts are plastic too. I am going to start removing all the pipe and replace with PEX and place a hot and cold manifold in the unit. The fitting at Lowes and Home Depot are brass and much nicer than what is in the unit now.

Painted the lower exposed frame on both sides of the front & rear hitch/bumper with flat black Rust Oleum, starting to get very rusty, looks pretty good in my opinion.

When I first looked at new RW's that is the one thing that turned me off was the rusting frames on a new coach. Salesman told me a wire brush and paint and I could fix it up

When we started looking at used units the RW was always a favorite. The one I found did not have the rust issue.. That FALCON technology is incredible depending on what day they made it

Mine looked good when new, but too much time on the east coast will rust anything.

Titan Disc Brakes

Tackling disc brakes from Ron, the Titan Guy. Shipping was excellent, parts and instructions all there. Easy to understand. Ron is available by phone all the time for any questions.

Packed the bearings, installed seals and set aside.

Decided to install the actuator on the back wall of the battery compartment, got the wires run to the junction box on the hitch and the actuator runs with the breakaway switch, the brake pedal and the brake controller.

Next, will be working on the plumbing.

Fun project !!

Looking good! Going to be doing this project in the near future. I like your actuator location...out of the elements. Keep us posted. Thanks!

Will you be able to check the levels and fill easily with that location? I know that the back wall of my battery compartment is a LONG lean for me.. Ron had mine mounted on the frame , just behind the front jack..

Yea, I thought about that, especially installing it was a bit of a pain. But, I think it will be easy enough. Going to also install a good 12v light in there to see battery as well as fluid level. Tough part will be to run the brake line through the maze of wires, then out through the propane compartment then down the frame. Tubing bender and a grommet through the steel should work fine.

I just replaced all the carriage bolts on my Superglide's way tubes with Stainless Steel carriage bolts.. I also swapped out the big 7" bolt that holds the head on with a 7" stainless nut/bolt/lock washer . .

Very nice! My actuator is on that back wall too, and it's not ideal but easy enough to get too. Not like it sucks down a lot of fluid
