Production stopped

This just in. We tried to submit our order for new 39MB. Factory not taking orders. Production stopped. Converting to new design. New colors. Dealer showing next month.
Just got left at the alter.
Do we wait for the new models? Price points.
Not happy camper
Looks like new mgmt just kicked into high gear.

This doesn't sound good. I thought they just came out with the new 2017's. They have never done this before, that I know of. I can't imagine what "new design" means. They just went to the straight roof.................................this is going to be interesting.

Dan and Julie, If you have seen the 2017 model you like, maybe you should get on rvtrader.com and see if there is one available out there on a dealer's lot. Can't imagine what the new design will be and what prices will be.

Buy used

We bought a 1 year old 36FL after trying to order a Redwood RL and not being able to get what we wanted, best buy we did let someone else get all the bugs worked out and take the original hit on the depreciation. check this one out on craigslist post id: 5673373661 has all the bells and whistles the owner used it twice.

I thought I read somewhere that RW planned a shut down - end of August to get ready for an RV show.
Also, is there a RW rep that can set us straight, possibly on this forum.

We were informed on the factory tour that right now is were they reduce production or stop on some models to let the dealer inventory decrease before the new model year arrives. Very surprising they would not take an order but was this what the dealer said or RW?

Maybe the dealer is dropping the redwood line. I do know that some dealers don't like dealing with Redwood because they move at a snails pace for replacement parts.

There are a number of changes / improvements currently being introduced to the Redwood product, dealers will be notified of the changes next month.
This is typical for the RV industry in late August, they are prepping for the dealer introductions with new products and will resume production after the product changeover.

Hi
That's exactly what I just heard from sales MGR at Camping World. Major model changeovers. Dealer meeting early Seotember to introduce new. Meanwhile not taking orders. Probably making the new models for display at September rollout.

Yep, we got to see some of the new changes at the National Redwood Rally during the Redwood plant tour but were asked not to post the changes online / public since the dealers had not seen or been informed of the changes yet.
From what we saw, they are doing some good things to the Redwood product

They will be rolling out the new models at the Hershey show. As Rob stated we did see some of the new changes at the factory tour and we will be very happy with the changes that we know of.. it is there year end so basically closed until late September when the will ramp up for the new years production.

I'm sure it will be georgous. We are hoping they stay with the Wine Bar and Urban Clay interior options which my wife fell in love with.
Dan.

Thank you for clear assessment of situation. We will wait to see the new models. Literally sold house and closed and moved out last week before this news. Staying in older Montana. Could be worse.

Dan.
Early last year we sat in a new RL with Urban Clay at the dealer....
We NOW have a 2016 RL URBAN CLAY in our driveway... That color is just awesome in our eyes.. the wife could not stop talking about it after the first time she saw it . .
