We are currently at the KOA in Milton, FL and headed tomorrow for Montgomery South RV Park, Hope Hull, AL. We're looking forward to watching the July 4th fireworks while aboard the Harriott II Riverboat. Then we'll work our way north to the Redwood Rally. We hope each of you have a safe and happy July 4th. God bless America!

Leaving Williamsburg, VA in the morning and headed to Dumfries, VA to hold out until Wednesday (July 2) then pulling into Cherry Hill RV Park, in College Park, MD just north of Washing DC. We will be watching the fireworks from DC this year. EXCITED! My first time to visit this area. Will be there about a week. :-)

Well the time has finally gotten here! We're loading up and heading to Maine to see how many lobster I can really eat.

Were heading towards Dover Delaware next saturday from Ochlocknee Ga.. Heading up 95N. Just wondering how the roads are. We normally go up 81 but that is almost 100 miles longer this time.

Personally, I think I95 is in great condition. It's the traffic that will suck the life out of you, especially between Fredericksburg, VA and Baltimore. You need to pick your travel time very, very carefully. If you're in no hurry may I suggest taking a ride up SR301 as an alternative. Then into Annapolis which is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, there's no direct route to Dover but I happen to find the farmland in that neck of the woods very appealing. Don't know where you'll be staying in/near Dover but Killens Pond S.P. is a nice, small campground that we have enjoyed.

Agree, the I-95 traffic in Virginia is horrible especially if it's anywhere near rush hour!!

We are planning a trip from Indiana to Maine and would like to hear from those who have experienced the routes. One shows a northern route the other a more southern route through lower Pennsylvania. Since this is our first major trip we would like to avoid as many issues as possible and rely on the experiences that others have had through these states.

We recently traveled from Tiger Run RV Resort in Breckenridge, CO to Mountaindale RV Resort in Colorado Springs, CO. We have seen 2 other RW's there with the same color scheme.

I80 in northern PA is a very nice road. I imagine you would turn north on I81, then to I84. There is one heck of a climb on I84 right at the PA/NJ border. I84 in New England can be messy but once you get to I90 and into Boston it's clear sailing up I95. You need to carefully choose your travel time because it's extra crazy at this time of the year since all of the Metropeeps are either heading to the shore of the mountains.

If you take the southern route, I70/I76 to I276, into NJ and onto the NJ Turnpike/I95, you'll have to go through northern NJ, NYC and southern CT.

We live near I-95 in the middle of CT and it's a roll of the dice with traffic. Most of the construction takes place at night and usually you can have a clean shot through. BUT would suggest the Peekskill/Newburg bridge I-84 for a high run through CT to the Mass pike and points north.

In Hardin, Mt. Grandview Campground, missed Duke & Coco, Redwood was here, Bill wasn't. Very nice small campground. No pull through but lots of room to back in. Will stay here again.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! We've driven Indianapolis to NYC many times, but not pulling a fifth wheel. I would also like some campground suggestions in Vermont and Maine. We are getting excited about our first long distance trip.

Stayed at many campgrounds and fair grounds in all three states. They are all fairly nice. Vermont has a few off of rt 89 in mid Vt and up RT 91. Don't miss New Hampshire while going to Maine. As for Maine the best are located along rt 1 off the Maine Pike. Names and places can be found in the state directories and are pretty much up to date. You'll have enough to see and do wherever you go. I will say that my all time favorite was Merrideth Woods near Lake Winnapasaki in New Hampshire. We did all this in our motorhomes and not pulling a fiver. Safe travels and sunny skies.

Stayed at Prairie Dog State Park in Norton, Kansas yesterday and arrived in Laramie, WY late yesterday afternoon. We were greeted with temps in the high 60s and an early evening hail storm that created a white out condition. Needed to turn on the fireplace in the living room this morning in order to take the chill off. Just crazy.

lol, I'm currently still in OK (outside of Enid) for about another 3 weeks. Currently it's in the 60's as well and we turned on the fireplace to knock the chill off. Been running the AC for 24 hours a day prior to yesterday. Talk about your summer Arctic Vortex!

Chuck - Head up to the great white frozen North. Mid 70's in the morning and mid 90's by late afternoon. Even hit 100 last weekend. No A/C at home, so can't wait to get on the road Friday and get the A/C's fired up.

For the past week we needed A/C 24/7.
