For the past week we needed A/C 24/7.
Andy,

Our cool spell is short-lived, we'll be back in the mid 90's by Saturday. Was nice to have the cool mornings, we've really enjoyed the break!!

Fortunately we are also getting a change in temperatures. This past week they had 105 + in the interior of BC. Just checked the forecast and it looks like a touch of rain tomorrow and temperatures in the 70's and 80's.

WorkCamp anyone?

In Newport, Wa. finally cooling down. Great place to park. Friend has full hook up spot. We will be trimming some low hanging branches tomorrow but no hope for satellite finding a way thru the tree. Great WiFi and perfect patio with afternoon shade. Helping a friend trying to get property in shape to sell.

We are in Bar Harbor Maine. Is anyone at the Mt Desert Narrows? There is another Redwood here. First one we've seen while camping.

We’re in Holiday RV Park in Greensboro MD. Nice spot we were very secluded spot. Only 30 amps, water, cable and no sewer. They have dump stations and will come and pump you out for $5. We made out great as there was plenty of trees for cover. 1 AC kept up fine in 90+heat. AC even cycled on and off. Finished this job and heading to Elkton MD at Woodland Campground. Should be hear about a week and then off to Huntington WV for next job. Going to be staying at the Ashland/Huntington KOA West then up to the Rally.

Banff National Park - Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court, which has full services - 30 Amps, water & sewer. No cable of Wi-Fi and due to the trees definitely no Satellite. Some site may get sat reception, but definitely not us. Don't even think we would get reception with a portable dish and 100' of cable.

Rustic, but somewhat primitive. Also have a serious problem with bears in the campground, so no early morning or late evening walks.

Heading further East on Tuesday.

Bear spray and/or cow bells or some sort of noise while walking and you will have your mornings and evenings back. Nun less your talking Grizz or momma beats and cubs.

Dave,

I think it would be wise for everyone to check their trailer's springs. I just checked the U-bolts on mine yesterday in preparation for our trip to Washington state. I was surprised to find that there are no lock washers on any of the U-bolts. I also checked the tightness of all the U-bolt nuts......most were okay, but, one set (all 4 nuts) on right side required some additional tightening. Someone at Lippert missed the required torque specification or wasn't paying attention. I did a visual inspection of the springs and, to my untrained eyes,
they appear to be okay.

When I get an opportunity, I will go back and add lock washers to all of those U-bolts, but I first want to find out what the torque spec should be.

Guy

One of the other reasons I decided to spend the money and do the Mor Ryde IS. I broke a spring last year also. Got home ok with it with the help of a couple of c-clamps, but ,,,,

The IS doesn't have any metal springs Spring pack is rubber pads.

To clarify the spring issue a bit. It is the part between the two tires that broke we are at a mechanic that Good Sam recommended. Looking at this place makes me wonder!

Mechanic response was "your not going to find a part around here like that" and finished off with "good luck". Now what to do we are in Bar Harbor and the roads are not good!

John ~ I think I would call Redwood directly and ask for their help. From what you're describing you may need to get the part overnighted to where you can get it fixed. Also - as part of your Redwood purchase you got CoachNet coverage. I would call them also in case you need help getting it moved.

Let us know how you make out.

We are second owners so we have no Redwood coverage. First owner had this unit for 5 months and decided to trade it in for a different RV. They said nothing wrong with it but they thought this other RV was better suited to their full time living. They transported it only 30 miles each way from Elkhart to Michigan. He was a gas line worker. We did buy an extended warranty though through Tiara that is basically a All State Insurance for things like this. Fining someone around here to work on it is going to be a real challenge! I will call Redwood . Maybe they can give us an idea.

Do you have a picture? Lippert can help too - as they are ultimately the ones that will send it to you.
