Danny,
They can be rebuilt. I had a middle jack rebuilt and worked fine. Never had any other issues with it. Cost me $100.

Hey Bruce! Good to see your still here. Curious, when you took the jack off for repair did you plug the lines, tie them together or just let them hang? Think I'll see if this guy can rebuild it.

Did you get a price quote for a new jack prior to having yours rebuilt? Where did you take it for the rebuild?

Bob

Danny,
I let the lines hang. Only lost fluid when removed lines. Probably lost about 1 1/2 quarts.

Bob,
Had it rebuilt in Ohio. New Jack was around $800. Any hydraulic repair shop should be able to repair them.

I didn't do anything to our Redwood today, We do have lots of extra spare parts and we only part-time weekends. But a few days ago I purchased some fuses on eBay for our Redwood. I have lots of different usual sizes, but didn't have spare 2 amp fast acting glass type fuse for our thermostats, or the 3 amp purple blade fuse for 'LIPCO' lippert controller in our fuse panel. One coming from china, the other from Hong Kong. $1.44 with free shipping for 10 fuses, the other was around $1.29 for 10 fuses again with free shipping. Last small computer item I purchased from china arrived here in 12 days. Sure I could buy locally for 8 times the price but I am not in a hurry yet, and if I bough locally they probably were made in China or Hong Kong anyway. With snow on the ground, we shall wait for spring. But I will have spares of these sizes if they happen to fail. I like to be prepared.

Come on Spring!!

Chris

I just got back yesterday from a 2 week business trip in North Carolina. Pretty good weather down there and I got the coach washed but I came back last night in the snow and blowing wind. What a shame......it's all dirty again.

It was cozy though sleeping at a "Flying J" with several other campers and watching it snow and the wind howling around the coach.

Just ordered the disc brakes from Ron, so looking forward to that project. Also, getting the second awning for the dining room slide ordered and looking forward to that. May take down the basement wall and get in there and "clean up some stuff", may do Brad's upgrade to the vac system at that time. Road trip starts April 19

Although out of warranty, Lippert sent me the parts (gratis) to rebuild the lower jaw with a fixed pin. This will get me home in the spring, and then I'll decide what to buy.

Did they give you the rotoflex bottom. I was very happy with it except I ran out of adjustment with the combo I have for bed clearance. You would think they would have sent you the new flex air as a replacement

If Lippert had not bought out Trail-Air, I probably would have received a flex air as others before me had.

Thanks for the info. I've seen where others have had jack problems...so far we haven't. Can't believe they want $800 for a replacement. Rebuilding seems to be the way to go!

Shane,
I had another go out today. Ted gave me a website to order bulbs. They will have to be soldered which shouldn't be difficult. I'll let you know how it works when they arrive.

Yes let me know. I only have 10 left out of the 16 I ordered. The ones I have gotten for replacement look identical same company in China although these have 8 single leds in a circle where the burnt out ones are a solid yellow circle with tiny dots in it.
Thanks
