I learned that despite putting in lots of water and rv digest it, you can still end up with residue. Was going to say a pile of sh*t but it wasn't a pile.

Travlin' Texans, did you use a power buffer on the exterior, if so any problems with the paint? I have a new 2015 38GK with full body paint which should not be a problem, If our Texan weather holds up😳

No buffer, just elbow grease!! I use Turtle Wax Ice & IMO it works just as well as the waxes I've tried & much easier to apply, just wipe on & wipe off for a really deep shine. You can also use it on glass, plastic, rubber, the whole enchilada & doesn't leave the residue in all the cracks & crevices. Regardless of what you use, these things seem to grow as you go!!

I adjusted the Onan 6.5 KW generator frequency from 63 Hz to 60 HZ. At 63 HZ the Fisher Pakel dishwasher would not operate and displayed an E4 error. At 60 HZ all is working.

Previously the PK would not operate on shore or generator power. Under warranty PK replaced all circuit boards, heater (also a printed circuit) and the pump. Shore power operation was achieved however not from the gen. The tech had to run so I measured the gen's voltage and frequency. It surprised me that lowering the frequency 3 HZ inabled the PK to operate. Live and learn!

A generator has to run at an exact RPM. The gen head has to turn at 3600 RPM. If the gearing is set at 2:1 then the engine would turn at 1800 RPM regardless of the load. So... If you take a Hz meter and watch the Hz and adjust the governor to speed up or slow down the engine to the exact RPM needed. Once the engine is under a heavy load the Hz will change. This is why inverter generators are better because the engine speed has nothing to do with the Hz output clean power.

So just a throttle adjustment?

Our dishwasher ran on generator for 2 years, but last year while winterizing I couldn't get it to go, had to plug into a shore line. If its just adjusting down the throttle I will have to try it next time.

What you can to is get a Kill-a-watt and select Hz and look to see what the generator is putting out. You may have to raise or lower the engine rpm. I set all me generators up for 60hz at 1/2 load. So unloaded they may put out 61Hz. The way I load the generator is with a heater and lights. So on a 5500 watt generator run about 2500 watts draw on it and set the RPM so that your Kill-a-watt shows 60Hz

Sounds like fun, I may have to play with that (I need a meter). It would be interesting to find out if that cures all of the dishasher/generator woes folks were having. I think some gave up.

To really solve all the problems is to run the dishwasher on a true sine wave inverter and let the generator charge the batteries. Anything electronic ( TV, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, ect.) should run on a pure sine wave inverter. This will give clean power. Anything with a microprocessor requires this. That is almost everything that plugs in anymore.

shouldn't be too hard to do. Might have to divide up the breaker panel a little, and drop in 1 or 2 2,000 watt inverters. They might even fit right above the batteries if they could stay cool enough.

Might be more than I would want to try, but interesting.

We haven't tried running our Fisher Paykel dishwasher while using the geny. Almost always are on shore power. The problem might be re wiring the dishwasher recep. On our 2012 36RL, one 15 amp breaker runs the gfci circuit. Which includes the gfci in the bathroom, exterior weather covered recep, receps in the docking station or convenience center, recep in the basement for our outside TV, central vac, all island receps and the dishwasher. Not saying it all couldn't be done, but might be a problem for some.

On our Onan 6.5 KW gen there is a vertical rod at about one o'clock and near the top center of the gen when facing the gen with the cover off. The vertical rod is supported by a small L-shaped bracket. There is a 10 mm lock nut on the top of the vertical rod at the L-shaped bracket. With my meter set for AC HZ I turned the 10 mm nut slowly until the meter displayed 60HZ.

Took the middle leveling jack lower portion apart to see if it was just an oring leaking, but it's a 2 part double cup seal & as per Lippert non rebuildable. Took to several places, but no luck, one fellow said he was 95% sure he could rebuild tihe entire jack if I brought to him, but concerned about the 5% maybe not. Guess I'll be saving my pennies for a new jack..
