Got it, this is all that I see that might indicate a part number. Believe it or not this decal is clean, its paint that's marring things up.

If I'm seeing it correctly it looks like the item number is: 257694

Considering you technically can't get the same OEM hitch aftermarket I'm guessing this one is a direct replacement for it:

http://www.etrailer.com/Fifth-Wheel-...35-946228.html

The Lippert website only shows this hitch priced about $500 more than the etrailer price, they tend to have some of the best pricing I've found for trailer related parts.

Radio flyer - if it was me I would look very strongly at the hitch Mor/Ryde makes. No airbag to mess with but accomplishes the same thing as the TrailAir hitch. If I didn't have the air pin box it would get the Mor Ryde.

I had the MorRyde hitch on my last SOB 5th Wheel.
It was good product and did ok, but it did not eliminate the chucking.
The Trail Air Tri Glide on our RW rides much smoother for the most part, I believe the trick to the Trail Air is finding the right air pressure for the air bag for your individual rigs weight and setup.

I have been looking into upgrading my pin box too. It came with the Trail Air Rotoflex, 18000 lb. I believe the upgrade part # is 1621, which is the Ultra-fab tri Glide Air ride.

From what I have been able to ascertain, there are 3 hitches, the rotoflex, Ultra-fab #1716 with air bag (without the rollers) and the ultra-fab 1621 with air-bag and rollers.

I had a Mor Ryde on my last rig and although I liked it, the design seemed to accommodate the cucking back and forth but not the purposing up and down.

It looks like the Ultra-fab with the rollers is designed to do both.

Haven't made my decision yet!

Here is the AIR RIDE PIN BOX, its made by Lippert Components.

Really if you want to eliminate chucking just bite the bullet and get the Hensley trailer saver hitch. By the time you buy a 5th wheel hitch and then order a Trailair and had them installed you could of added a few more dollars and had a Hensley Trailer saver hitch and no chucking. Then you would be able to hook to any standard pin on any brand and not worry about any chucking and have a great ride.

So tough to look at part numbers. Looks like the 1716 rated for 21k as shown in brenkco's post above is the right one for out pin box. $1311 and free shipping from etrailer. If I hadn't just gotten rid of my Reese 16k for the Curt q20, I would have considered the Hensley.

So if I upgrade my tri-glide 18k don't I still have the issue that the RW GVWR is only 18k? The frame, axles, wheels etc still have limits don't they?

Why would you upgrade your 18K Tri-glide?

I was only complaining because it limits what I can plug into that 2" receiver in the back I'm already at 17222 lbs.

Well my 38FL came in "dry & empty" at 16,100. Add 800lbs of water + 300lbs of batteries that gives me less than 1,000lbs of "stuff". Do I have the #s right on that?

Wow - that's a heavy dude. Is that what you weighed it at or is that what was written in the cupboard? What is your GVWR?

The cupboard says mine was weight out the door at 13,800 something if I remember right, and its now 17222 wet.

Well I assume they actually weighted it at Lazydays when it was delivered. I have a little math to do and am going to re-weigh after all the up fitting is done.

Either way though just changing the pin doesn't up the GVWR does it?

No, just like adding air bags to your truck doesn't technically increase it's carrying capacity. Whatever the GVRW is from the factory is what it'll always be regardless.
