I forgot, if you change batteries make sure you go in to the settings on the remote control panel for the inverter - and tell the inverter what type of battery you have installed.

Our new Optima Blue Top Batteries are of the type AGM 2 and we had to choose that from the menu in settings.

How can you tell what kind of battery's are in there I have 2 12 Volt white with Green top no Brand name of other info on them. I can't get more than a few hours on my inverter with a full size fridge this is a problem and I expect it's a setting. I got my 36RL from Lazyday in Tucson and they freaked when they saw the sloppy install of my battery and said quickly they didn't do it so I imagine it came from the Factory like that had them look at it and I don't think they know much about it 2015 36RL

Odd, typically the Redwoods ship from the factory with a single cheap battery for the house 12v system, never heard of one arriving with two batteries? Perhaps the second battery is for your investor, I don't have an inverter of residential refer so I can't help with that.

They were supposed to go to two 31 series batteries with the residential fridge, which sounds like what you have.

2 hours isn't bad if not connected to anything charging the batteries. I wouldn't expect more.

I keep hearing a lot of people have issues w/ the residential fridge while towing. I have the standard RV fridge which can run on LP when I am underway so it isn't an issue w/ me, but I will throw out that I have a 3000 watt inverter installed in the bed of the truck. I also added a power connect in the front which is basically wired into the transfer switch in the battery compartment.

The end result is that when the truck is running it provides 20amp 110v service to the coach which could directly power the residential fridge.

It was a little pricey and I wouldn't do this if you don't have dual alternators in the TV but could be a more desirable solution to the residential fridge dilemma.

You got the dual alternator option? VERY nice!

Did you just replace your truck? I thought you had just bought a 2014.

Not sure if you are asking me but I got my 2015 F350 delivered w/ dual alternators. This is the only truck I have ever owned and it is a really sweet ride! Very happy with it so far.

Ya it was you I was asking Ken. For some reason I thought you ordered before the 2015s were out, but now I remember you discussing the blackberry vs sync. Sounds like a nice setup!

Woody, sorry if I confused you, but thanks for the pic of that gorgeous rig!

Yup I did order prior to the 2015 production start and I waited, and waited, and waited.....

Glad I did because I got exactly what I wanted but rely on my iPad for the primary GPS and Sirius XM app & Audible for entertainment on the iPhone, the Microsoft Sync UI is rubbish.

I really don't have an issue with the FUNCTION of the res fridge while towing...
will keep it as cold as I set it...
at least if I recall to turn invertor on and take the fridge out of demo mode

oh, unless you mean that little thing about it
TILTING cuz it's not anchored, or
OPENING if I don't block the freezer door

but other than that, it is fine...
