In my opinion a tire that is stored in a warehouse doesn't factor it to its age . The in service date then run them 5~7 years up to 10 years old total from DOT stamp date. After 5 years in service they should be checked for dry rot in the tread and side walls every 6 month to a year . Tires parked in one spot for extend time is very likely going to ruin the tires in a year or two (flat spot and cracks in the tread where they contact the ground.)
