Where are you getting your tires from?

I need new tires for my 2015 38rl and will either replace the goodyear g614’s or get the Saliun 637’s. I still have the 16” wheels on stock axles.

Simpletire says they could be up to four year old tire dot codes and wont check them presales, walmart I suspect is the sams.

Goodyears online presence doesnt even list the g614’s.

So where have you all gotten your tires from and how old where they? I would like them to be less than six months old.

In my opinion a tire that is stored in a warehouse doesn't factor it to its age . The in service date then run them 5~7 years up to 10 years old total from DOT stamp date. After 5 years in service they should be checked for dry rot in the tread and side walls every 6 month to a year . Tires parked in one spot for extend time is very likely going to ruin the tires in a year or two (flat spot and cracks in the tread where they contact the ground.)

I have purchased Sailun tires from simple tire and from walmart.com. The last set of tires were cheaper from Walmart and arrived in two days. Walmart claims they will mount any tires that you buy from them online but the retail tire stores at Walmart do not have a tire changing machine that can handle the 14 ply Sailun 637 tires. The local Walmart store reimbursed me $50 that I paid to another tire store (Les Schwab) to mount and balance two tires.

My first set of Sailuns came from Simple Tire and had right at a year old date codes when I got them. I just replaced those with the same tire from a local truck tire dealer here in San Antonio. Date codes were less than a year old.

Mounting them can be difficult. My local discount tire (they mounted my first set no issues) quit mounting them which is why I went to a local truck shop. Just so happens their mounting machine broke on the second tire and they had to mount the rest by hand anyway.

Both Sailun tires were less than 6 months since manufacturer date stamp.
