DISH Tailgater frustrated

So I decided today to check out my new Dish Tailgater. Got it all set up and hooked it up and nothing. I have 3 orange cables by the TV and I tried each one several times, nothing. So I ran the cable from the Dish directly to the Walley and it worked fine. I tried the connection in the bedroom, nothing. I even tried the connection on the roof, nothing. I used different cables, nothing. I checked the satellite connections into the camper and they were good. I did notice one cable was white and the other was orange. The only thing I can think of is none of my satellite cables are connected. I believe there is a device that the cable guys use to check cables. I could get one of those and check my cables.
But I thought I would ask to see if I was missing something. Hate to have to run a cable through one of my windows just to use the Dish.

I had the same problem with my 2019 RK. Ended up running the cable through rubber on slide by the main TV. I bought a meter and discovered Redwood puts too many splitters inline and the tailgaters don’t like them. Tried roof connectors and both sides with same results.

Make sure your cable light is off, it’s on the wall either in the bedroom closet or cabinet in bedroom. For some reason ours wouldn’t work when the light was on for the cable, once we turned it on it worked fine…..

We have a 2013 and ran the cable through the window for years. We now have it hooked up on the roof for the main tv and it works.
I also echo the reply, if you have you tv antenna turned on, ours is in the bedroom, it needs to be off to get cable. That is a boost for your tv antenna and it messes with the cable. Hope this helps.

So I got a coaxial meter and check all the lines. For my outside connection there are two satellite connections. None goes to my main TV, but one goes to the bedroom TV. Thats not going to help sines I would have to run a line through the camper from the bedroom to the main TV. Of the two connection I have on my roof one did go to my main TV. That was the only good thing I found. I ended up having to run a coaxial through my outside TV to get it into the camper to my main TV. I guess the guy that was running the coaxial that day was having a bad day

We put our dish on the roof of the trailer when we are settled for a few days. We run a bike lock cable through the handle and around the ladder with a lock to keep it stable. Sometimes when it is windy it will knock it over.

Typically cables are run as follows. There is a cable from the roof to the bedroom and one to the living room. From the wet bay one cable runs to the bedroom and the other runs to the living room. The is also a "jumper cable that runs from the bedroom to the living room and one that runs from the living room to the basement connection.
So if you want to set up on the ground you would connect in the wet bay to the living room or the bedroom. Since you have the tester label which outlet in the wet bay goes to each location. I don't have dish but do have direct and my dealer labeled all of the cables and outlets for me and I can connect to all tv's from the roof or the wet bay. Also remember that the black coax is for the roof antenna and can't normally be used for the Sat signal. Hope this helps.

On my 13 36 rl I ran a new cable from the convience center along the frame and into the slide behind the tv.
