I can't seem to find an answer as to where the Carriage falls in line vs the Redwood. Could someone help us out? We have seen the Redwood and feel in love, but don't plan to purchase until late 2016 and go full time shortly after that. Thanks for any insight you can give us.

Confusing a bit.

Crossroads owns Redwood, but came out with their own fleet that are close sisters to the Redwood and Sequoia. As I understand the Redwood remains the flagship of Crossroads and Andy said the intent is to keep Redwood ahead of the others in new options and innovations.

Welcome!!

That IS confusing! To clarify:

Carriage is NOT a Redwood product, but is manufactered in the Redwood facility. So, the frame will have the Redwood sticker.

Carriage is still an exclusively CrossRoads product, and Redwood is still...well...Redwood! They are still completely separate products and lines.

That being said, you are MOST welcome on this forum! There's a wealth of information pertinent to all RVers here, and on the CrossRoads forum as well!

(Just wanted to clear that up before rumors started flying!)

Again, Welcome!

Christian,

Just to clarify, unless something has changed you don't MAKE the frames, just assemble the axles, springs, wheels, etc. correct? I remember the frames were actually delivered to you from Lippert, at least I saw them parked outside with a scrap axle to get it there.

You don't want to get that rumor started either....

If you go and look at the Carriage and a RW right next to each other. Look almost Identical storage area has the same wood inside. Interior is the same materials furniture is a different style. The Carriage is also marketed as a full timers coach. Carriage may not be built at the RW factory but crossroads is marketing them the same as a RW. The Price is even same

4 slides instead of the slide in a slide was the only difference I noticed.

If you were to park ALL of Thors larger fifth wheels unpainted & unmarked in a row there would be no way you could tell one from the other, same vendors, same materials, same uncaulked showers, same missing or over tightened screws, same plastic spring bushings, just a different group in a different building putting the pieces together.

Smile Thanks to all for the Welcome

I have to admit I was a little leary registering for the Redwood forum, but Carriage seems to be in transition at this point, with very little web presence that I could find. I thought RW would be a good fit to find similar issues and advice.

Gford, it's probably 95%+ the same coach as the RW & as Jack Webb said "only the names were changed to protect the innocent"!
