If you want to try out new air bags, take ANY interstate across Louisiana!! Get some stirrups & a kidney belt.

This is funny. I drove out to Chicago at the beginning of this past winter. At that time, I said to myself that when we go to St. Louis, we're taking I70 because I80 was soooo bad.

Don't know if they're the cheapest but they're one of the best in SA.

Well.........maybe there aren't any good roads going toward Jersey.
I guess I'm going to give Ginny a tall glass of wine before we start heading across I80 so she sleeps through it.

I figured that I70 was a self regulated road......no need for police because nobody could drive fast on it over all that distruction. They should just have mental heath folks patrolling the highway instead of police because only insane people would dare drive fast on that road.

The new beast has arrived!
Our new 2014 Ram cab chassis dually: 6.7 Cummins, of course, "delete the back seat" feature for more storage (45 cubic feet), and a Knapheide low-profile Westerner utility body. That gives us another 45 cubic feet of lockable storage and it sits just 50" off the ground, solving that "low clearance" problem I see so often.

Dave...How was I70 between St. Louis and Indianapolis? I could take I71 from Columbus to Cincinnati and then pick up I74 into Indianapolis. Then I could ride I70 to St. Louis. That would get me around the worst part of I70 which you described.

I didn't pick up I70 until Indy. I took I74 before Indy. Sorry I can't help

You're absolutely right, Yale, and that's a most generous housewarming gift! Thank you so much! Will you have them shipped here, or do I need to pick them up?
