Redwood Spotting

Wow, there is us and 3 other Redwoods here in Tallahassee, FL tonight.

Tallahassee FL is our home base so we spend time here on and off during the year and see a Redwood every now and then but never have seen 3 other Redwoods here at the same time.

Pulled in to Savannah Oaks RV Resort on Wednesday and about an hour later Craig & Rhonda Smith pulled in next to us with an identical 38rl and truck. Will be at Neopolitan Cove in Naples all of Feb & hope to hook up with them again.

On the way to Decatur IL to welcome our new grandson Wednesday night we saw a brand new Redwood out for delivery on the back of a HOTSHOT truck. It was still going south on I-57 when we turned off on to I-72 east.

Saw a Dodge pulling a silver and black RW on the I87 (NYS Thruway) northbound between Albany and Poughkeepsie. It was cold and snowing and the direction they were pointed in would mean more snow and even colder temps. Good luck!

This isn't really Redwood Spotting but I was 60 seconds away from being a highway statistic tonight thanks to 2 trailer delivery units.

Just had another bout of fresh wet snow right in time for rush hour. Headed east on Ont 401 at 6:00pm just east of Cobourg Ontario. Came around a bend (6 lane divided highway) and saw headlights looking at me on my side of the Jersey barrier.
Did a Whoa Nellie on my dually and so did the guy in front of me. Trailer hauler on shoulder on our side trying to flag down traffic. I slowed right down to pass him and the other truck and tongue mounted trailer sitting on my left side next to the center median Jersey barrier with no obvious signs of damage to either unit... so far so good right?

As I pass both units, I watch my driver side mirror and see the guy against the Jersey barrier turn left and pull truck and trailer 90 degrees to 3 lanes of oncoming traffic in an effort to get his rig pointed in the right direction! I can see headlights coming from under the trailer but I am not stopping!

Drove the next 30 minutes home to my exit and never saw another set of headlights in my rear view mirrors... got home and checked the Beat the Traffic app on my phone... all lanes blocked eastbound for 90 minutes... serious accident. Not sure what injuries are at this time but willing to beat tow vehicle and brand new trailer will be on the list.

See these guys every day... makes me shudder... I drive anywhere from 2-3 hours each way on this highway 5 days a week depending on which client I visit.

Brad... glad to hear you're o.k. Our thoughts and prayers are with the other drivers.

We were at the Branson Jellystone park last week and spotted a full body paint Redwood there. We were there for 6 days and we never saw the fifth wheel open or anyone there. Just wanted to chat about your Redwood.
