I agree, it is a light weight ladder, there have been complaints on other high end 5er forums about light weight ladders that are not meant to be used.
I have a extension ladder I always use when going on the roof, the ladder on the back of our RW is way to lightweight for me to be climbing on regularly.

You should see my ladder flex when I climb my 275+ lb self up there! Just did it again tonight at the RV park to add some sealant to a spot. The neighbors probably had 911 queued up on there phone watching me!

I send the wife up. Told I need to be at the bottom to catch her in case the ladder breaks.

Hey, I'm a svelt 165# and I don't feel entirely safe on that ladder! I was up and down it several times today and I kept looking at the screws, brackets, etc. with an eye towards "where do I jump to" if this thing let's loose. We're also talking about ditching the outside TV entirely, buttoning up and insulating the compartment, and finding a better use for the space. Perhaps quilting thread for Angele...

We bought our RW off the dealer lot, it did not come with the outside TV which is fine with us because we would not use it anyway.
The FL floorplan does not have a outside toolbox, so I made the TV cabinet area into a tool box.
For us, much better use of the compartment space.

DLRAKOWITZ - Can't agree more. We are in the process of figuring out how to get insulation into that area. Right now there is none and that is bad in so many ways.

Took a little work but got the TV mounting bracket off so we have a little more room but still need to get some insulation in there. Any thoughts/attempts appreciated.....

I wonder if it is bad for the TV to get "too cold" in the winter?? Maybe they intentionally left it without insulation? But then the door would have to be well insulated. Just a thought...

Todays flat screen TVs are not damaged by the cold in storage, as long as they are not turned on when the TV is below freezing they are ok.

My guess is you are right, no insulation behind there to keep the TV warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

I guess realistically that is a cabinet door normally left closed. Have you ever seen the drafts created if you leave the basement door open!?? (that's where our factory TV is). The cutout around the toilet drain on ours where it penetrates the basement wall is a large gap, and on the other side air blows right through the return air vents under the cabinets.

We are kind of fair weather folks, but if we cold camped that would be one place I would seal up as well, even though the basement is heated.

I have a problem with out side TVs unless it's turned down. Several years ago we were camping near a guy that had a projection TV beaming up onto the side of his trailer where he had placed a sheet. Worked great for the kids but I got tired of hearing "Elmo" all night.

Totally agree on the outside TV. We bought a small sound bar for ours and use mostly for music (Pandora) for the patio area. Works great :-)

We definitely are courteous neighbors ;-) Sometimes (like now) we have nobody around for 80 acres, so no fear of upsetting anyone and we go to bed with the chickens so probably no fear of quiet time disruption... haha

Being a prior workamper who worked security, I can't tell you how many times I had to go into a campsite after 10pm and ask them to turn down their tv. Second time in, they were asked to turn it off, third time in, they were asked very politely to leave! IMHO, rv's are no place for outside tvs, too many people in too small of an area.

To be fair though, I had to go into many campfires and tell them the same thing. The more people gather, the louder it gets. You probably won't believe this, but 95% of the voices I could hear on the other side of the campground were women! For some reason their voices travel farther.

Outside TVs are even getting popular in backyard area upgrades. 5 new in our neighborhood, including mine. Guess us old folks will need to get over it and get with the times .

Outside TVs aren't rude, but people running them sure can be.

Rob...would really love to see a picture of that toolbox area.

When watching tv at home I have the TV turned up so loud so I can hear it, people don't want me to have an outside TV when we camp. In my house, I have the whole living room wired for surround sound. When my kids come and visit, they say it's louder than the theater. That base really shakes when we're watching a movie with a train in it.

AMEN on the women's voices, especially if WINE is involved... LOL! I can say that it doesn't matter WHAT it is, some people just don't have any consideration. One of the loudest groups we had to put up with over the years was a large church group with a guitar at 1 AM.
