Suggestions for Campgrounds in Virginia or West Virginia?

Looking for a nice campground in Virginia or W. Virginia, any experiences? All the reviews I have read on the campgrounds I thought would be nice have not so good reviews.

No experience with West Virginia , but here are the ones I have stayed at in Virginia :
Kings Dominion Campground,Doswell- all re done and it is nice-amusement park
Americamps,Ashland- overnight only unless it is close to work for a few days
KOA South Fourty, Petersburg - overnight only
American Hertitage, Williamsburg- nice place , lots to do in the area
Bethpage Camp Resort, Urbanna- destination for summer and kids and carts
And a little further north ,just over the MD border is --Cherry Hill Park , with TONS to do in the area...
What time of year are you looking to go? What are your expectations? What are you looking to do?
That's all I have at this moment...

Joe
