Refrigerator question

Does anyone know if you have to manually switch the refrigerator to electric? We just purchased a 2012 Redwood 38FL and we are going to need help. We are currently truck trapped under the trailer, batteries are not charging inspite of a 3 hour haul and electric hooked up for atleast 12 hours. We have a battery charger directly on them now, all fluid levels checked and connections are clean. Batteries appear new. Hopefully we can get enough power to get the leveling system to work. However, the charger is having little to no effect. That is what brings the refrigerator into question, it is running now. And it does not have the idiot lights on the front to show that it is switching from gas to electric. HELL please, and thank you for any advice you can share.

Open the left freezer door the fridge controls are on the top of the cabinet press the auto button. Dies the micro work

Not that it answers you question, but there was no 38FL in 2012 only 36FL, the 38XX didn't come in until '15 or 16.
Our '12 36RL had the Norcold 4 Door Fridge and the controls were right on the front between the fridge and freezer doors. And have a switch for Gas/Elec/Auto, ours ran in Auto most of the time, unless we were on 15 or 20 service then it would be put into Gas.
