We will be getting our new 38RE in the next month or so (on order right now). Question is: with the new leveling system, will we still need our tripod for stability?

I have been in a 36fl (front living room) and I did not notice any adverse movement, that beening said I ordered mine with the trailair air ride pinbox and the tri pod might not do much good but I will try it anyway just because if I can make even more rock solid that's better for me.

I've asked the same question and I was told no. You'll have to ask other owners what they think. I was told that with the 6 point leveling eveything was pretty much rock solid.

You do not need it with the leveling system.

I would say "It depends on the camping surface" When parked on a good solid surface you're pretty solid with the Level-Up System. We use our washer every other day, and you get a little vib when it first starts to spin, but nothing serious. Last weekend we were camped at a Fairgrounds on sand/dirt and there was a lot more vib/movement, but still better than our previous TT. Give it a try first as each person feels the movement differently. For us, we carry enough junk around so we don't need more.
