Need to replace TV in 2015 38RL

I have the original LG TV in the living room of my 2015 38RL that I want to replace. Due to the framing around the TV, I'm not sure how much larger of a TV I can get, but my biggest issue is the mounting bracket that was used in this model. Does anyone have any experience in changing out that TV and how did you determine if a new one would mount to that same mounting bracket?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

All televisions are manufactured with a standard bolt patterns that comes in three or four sizes and are measured in mm. I believe that they are called VESA standards. There is a great explanation of this at https://www.abt.com/learn/vesa-standard-guide. Take your tv down and measure the distance between the mounting holes in mm and then establish which mount size you need. They are classed as MIS-B thru MIS-F and the television you buy will have that size designated on the box.

Cheezy1.....thank you for the response. Now that these OEM TV's for the 2015 units are 8 years old, I figured someone had to have dealt with this before. Technology changes so quickly these days, it is hard to keep up with it. Thanks again....

TV Replacement found

I wanted to let everyone know that is looking for a replacement for the original LG TV that was installed in the living room of the 2015 38RL, I recently installed an LG UR8000A 43" and everything lined up perfectly. I did have to use 4 spacers between the mount arm and the TV in order to make it work.

I'm very pleased with this new Smart TV LG UHD AI ThinQ that I purchased from Costco. This turned out a lot better than I had originally thought.
