Exclamation Dining room slide

2014 Crossroads Redwood

My dining room slide will work its way out while traveling. It will creep out right off the bat. Anyone experienced this issue or can suggest things I should check? I appreciate any and all feedback.

Dining room slide

My 38rl had that problem when we first got it. The hydraulic cylinder was leaking, not maintaining pressure which would cause the slide to work it's way out.

Could have air in the system if you don't have visible oil leaking from jacks or slide rams.
Hook up to the truck, retract all slides & jacks (this is a must or will result in a big mess), check the fluid in the hydraulic reservoir, fill to within 1/4-1/2" of the opening, I'd recommend (as did the factory techs) using 15w motorcycle fork oil, operate the slides & jacks a few times, recheck the reservoir & top off as needed.

I had that problem on my 2014 36RL. At the rally in 2019 I had tech look at that problem. There is a check valve that keep pressure in the line to keep them in. The tech removed it and found little shaving in it and replaced. He also showed me where the shutoff valves are to isolate them from the system. With them screwed shut the slide did not move. Lippert called and had me bring it in to them and they found the pump was bad putting pieces into the system so the valve would not seal shut. They replaced that I have not had a problem since.
