I doubt that insurers would want to do annual inspections of the roof. I can't speak about in the US, but I have never been asked in Canada & I'm an agent. Most agents wouldn't know what to look for.

I asked around a bit & the RV dealer all...
I asked around a bit & the RV dealer all recommend the same thing - a plug in the box on the drivers side near the endgate. Seems to work well as far as I am concerned. Just my 2 cents though.
