Update on front cap insulation

Not sure how much of this has to do with the reworking of my insulation -

Not sure it is related, but I am in the RW now. It is 84 degrees out and I am in 1/2 sun - 1/2 shade.. This is the first time i have used it since I reworked my insulation, I have only 1 AC running set at 70 . . It's 72 down, and 70 up... actually cooler in the bedroom.. I'll take it ! I know it's not a true test, but it looks promising.

It's made out of a product called Advantek and can withstand any weather and water conditions. Probably not acid but these years and I have never had my coach batteries leak, so thought I would give it a shot. Time will tell.

Steve, How did you handle the venting of your alternative box? Regular battery boxes have gaskets and the halves are required to secured together to get rid of the build up of hydrogen gas that builds up when charging. Did you hook the vent hose to your box?

Yes, you can see it in the picture. Vent is hooked to the upper side and also have the same hole in the bottom as the plastic box did. Top has a seal that should be fine and sits inside the sides.

Ok.... so I know I am always posting mods and some might be board but I have always enjoyed looking at the pictures everyone posts of what they have done, so you have seen the previous pictures last week and now I have finished the LR side of the coffee bar. Decided to go with cherry to break up the black.

Finished the stair runner and dog gate today. We don't always want our dogs in the LR and I hated having to move a gate and put it away so I came up with this.

I currently am not able to charge the batteries in the coach from the truck with the cord connected. Metered the connector in the bed of our F350 and we have a good 14.3 VDC with the engine running. After reading your post about the 12V breakers having a reset button, went and looked at ours to see if that might be my problem, but didn't see any reset button. Can you amplify your description a bit?

Jim,
I assume they are all the same so when you directly look at the breaker you are looking at the two studs that secure the wires. On the top side just behind the top stud or wire (wire may be blocking view) there is a tiny little black button about 1/8" round. Just push it down and it should reset.
Another item to keep a few spares just in case it won't reset.
Let me know if yours may be different and I can send a close up picture tomorrow.

Steve

We have a 2012 RW 36 Fb I have called RW and Crossroads about a couple items and have been told they would get back to me...Yet to have a returned call...One of the two sliding doors between bath and bedroom dropped out of ceiling and upon trying to put back up found all screws had fallen out of mounting rail. When tried to reinstall found screws were only piercing the ceiling board and attached to nothing else. Doors still loosely standing in the pocket unusable...Still no return call to get this resolved. Transfer box badly designed wires even though insulated crossing and touch other wires from manufacture melted and shut down power. Extended warranty didn't want to pay because repair was made 3 days after warranty expired. Even though we explained the problem happened before the warranty ran out. Electrician didn't want to work on because we were in high wind and heavy rains for those days because of the tornadoes in in the Emory area less than 6 miles from here and lightning strikes every .4 seconds. I wouldn't have wanted to work in those conditions either. Crappy extended warranty.

Brad does your flapper have springs that hold the flapper down to keep it quiet when not being used and winds are high

We're now set up in New York for the summer. Finished putting all the tow stuff into the Focus but for a number of reasons wasn't able to tow it up behind the coach. The setup I used for both the towbar and brake system allows me to tow it easily behind anything with a 2" receiver hitch.
Had to go back for a few days to finish getting house ready for market so brought it back behind the Dually.

Truck didn't even care that it was behind us. Mpg went down by .3. I usually get 16.8 on the road unloaded and got 16.5 towing the car. No complaints.

It'll be hooked on behind the Redwood when we next move.

I'll post a photo as soon as I get the wifi to work and can transfer it.

Smile Roller Shade Brackets

Bracket on one of the roller shades broke, called Irvine Shades and they sent me replacement brackets no charge and fast shipping. That's what I call great customer service.

When you replace them use 2 zip ties criss crossed on each bracket & the shade will never fall again. After my first one fell I took all the valances down & zip tied all my shades, once & done.

That doesn't look like pex hose it just looks like the lightly reinforced garden hose that goes through the bathroom floor to the back of the toilet.

Here's a picture of Focus behind the truck. When we move later this summer I'll have another with it on behind the Redwood. Car tows so easily I'm not expecting any issues.
