Filled the batteries with water. What a pain in the butt. The next time I touch those batteries is to replace them with AGM batteries. The battery enclosures will also be gone at that point. I know some of you will say "You still have to have battery enclosures". Really, you don't.

I went over the damage report and work sheet for the blow out. $10,656. Does that count

Going south to Nashville on I65, I hit a crater of a pot hole. When we arrived in Music City we found that the two horizontal fascia boards on our two front slide outs had been knocked clean off the frames of the slide outs. Now I know the MorRyde 4000 is no IS, but I'm really hoping it's at least an improvement over stock.

This weekend I pulled the lockbox up out of the floor and pulled both shoe boxes from the closet wall to get access to the front cap. Stuff two roll of insulation in both areas. I think this will make a big difference with the radiant heat in the closet area that heats up the bedroom.

Was the factory insulation missing? When we visited the factory the nose insulation they were installing looked substantial on our 2013 RL. It does get very warm on the nose and chilly in the winter. Not a fully timer...............yet!

When I pulled the lock box I found a compartment the width of the RW with no insulation and a little view of the outside pin. I just pulled the shoe boxes and added more just because it would not hurt. Has helped a lot

I remember someone doing that and I always meant to, I just never got around to it. Didn't even think of the floor safe, but I remember the shoe boxes. That black nose would get warm.

When moving out of ours I found the keys that went to the floor safe, which reminded me we even had one. I opened it and found 200 rounds of .45 I left there when we first went to pick it up! Yippee One of the advantages of getting old and forgetful, every turn is a new path even if its the one you just came from.

I hope you never crossed the border with that into Canada. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a gun into Alaska.

Jim ~ I would see if there is a UPS Store or a Postman plus or similar and see if they will hold a package for you for pickup. Ship it USPS Priority mail. You don't have to declare what is in the package.

No we never did, thought we would but never happened.

We bought the rig in Texas, and I took a lot of ammo figuring us Colorado pothead hippies would have to shoot our way back out of there. As it turns out, it only took about 300 of the 500 rounds we took.
