Gel coated. The fading has been a problem with the Gel coated end caps from the beginning of production. I have heard that it is widespread throughout the industry. My coach has been stored inside for most of the past 4 years except during the winter while we were in Florida. The fading just started to show up this past March. I had hopes that maybe since the fading was known issue these past 3 to 4 years, that maybe Redwood consider painting the caps under the 5 year warranty.

Guy, IMO the caps would/should be structure, it wouldn't be much of a coach without them.

True Danny, but the fading is cosmetic and doesn't affect the structure at all. Not saying RW shouldn't paint them, but structure wise, not a factor.

This all falls back to what actually is covered under the 5 year warranty. After reading all the discussions about this topic from the Rally, now I know why I could never get a complete listing from Redwood as to what it covers. I was told initially, prior to my purchase, that anything Redwood had to put together or construct was part of the structure and would be warranted. The caps are put together as part of the exterior by Redwood and in my opinion should be covered. Just sayin.
