The parts are all Valterra:
T1003vp - 3" valve
T1005 - Slip Hub- 2 of these.
and some PVC primer/cement

The easiest and quickest way to go is to gate a Valterra T58 Twist on gate valve. You can use it only when needed.

The new gate valve is also nice to have should one of the cables on the other valves break or malfunction..

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between theT1003vp - 3" valve and the</span>Valterra T58 Twist on gate valve? My camper is in for warranty work and I'll see if they can get this done before the weekend. Thanks.</span>

You don't have to have anyone install the twist on. You can just twist it on, then put the cap on. I leave mine on.

My routine has always been to dump black first and then gray water. It looks as though I'm going to need to change my routine with this set-up, correct?

You should still be able to keep the same routine. Just close the factory gray valves hook up your hose and drain the black and they open the greys the way you would before. This is how I see it.

Looks like a great set-up.

You would have to have the grays open to fill the "washer/dryer" tank. Once you do that, you'll have gray water all the way to the last valve in the line.

You can still close the factory grey valves to drain the black and then re-open the grays to flush the whole thing.

Right. There will be a little grey in the main line but not enough to worry about. Looking forward to getting this done. I have a 2013 model and this still hasn't been redesigned. Unbelievable.

Can't do this at all in a 38 BR... can only add a twist on valve between the end of the line and the flexible sewer hose due to configuration.

With this setup, when you want to fill the grey tanks keep the OEM v/v's open and close the new v/v in the main discharge. This will fill each grey tank reasonably equally.

Prior to dumping the black tank, close the OEM grey tank v/v's and open thenew v/v in the main discharge. Once the black tank is dumped open the OEM grey tank v/v's to flush the line.

We have a similar arrangement on our FL.

We have the same set up on our FL, and it works great, easy to install and to operate.

How is yours different than my RL? I took the boom off mine, installed the twist valve and then reinstalled the boom. It works great and I use it all the time.
