I have had the tread go on 3 Goodyear G's. I have the TST pressure monitoring system. All three times there hasn't been any warning. The tread just goes. The tires have always been properly inflated....

I don't see the reason to go to G rated tires if your wheels aren't up to the tire rating. If your going to the expense of upgrading your tires, upgrade your wheels if necessary.
