I had my inverter burn up over a year ago. The only thing I could figure it did was feed a trickel charge to the refrigerator when not on shore power. The refrigerator power runs thru the inverter...

I agree the sensor system on most fifth wheels leave much to be desired. That being said I did have a time when I found one of the sensor wires had come off one of the black tank sensors causing it...
