Congrats IPull & Happy Camper on your new on rigs! Hope can get ours ordered by the end of March. If you guys don't mind me asking, Did any of you order the disk brakes option? I priced mine out with it but am having second thoughts about them. I think that if Im sitting for a few months or even a month that it could be more of a hassle then what they would be worth.

We did not get the disc brakes. I have never had them on a RV so not sure if they would be worth it or not.

We ordered ours with the disk brake system, for extra safety.

I ordered mine with the disk brakes and the G rated tires. I'm still considering the extra heavy axles for $1200. I don't have my trailer yet so I can't tell you how well they work. From the research I've done it looks like they stop about 50% quicker, won't fade as quick going down hills and are quiet. Like you though, I've never had them on a trailer although you can't get a car without them.

That was why the auto indust. went to front disk and then to four wheel disk brake. because of the shorter stopping distance, quicker brake recovery, better coolingand less brake fad.

Like you, I have considered the 8g axels. I'm waiting formore info. like, does it come with up graded leaf springs, shackels and mounting hardware. $1200. for just up grade axels is alot of stake dinners with no side dish.

It would have to come with heavier gear to handle the weight. Myabe I'm silly but with all the $ I'm already spending I'm not going to let $1150 stand in the way of making this a long term trailer.

They do come with heavier springs the mounting hardware might be the same. I can tell you that the heavier springs will make your rig bounce and toss your stuff around inside the rig I myself would not recemend the 8000# axles I see the damage caused first hand at least once a year in my shop.

Well I could not hold out till Wednesday the day we pick it
up (36RE) had to go down today and take a look. WOW they made a few changes
from the one I looked at in Nov. added switch in the basement for the awning, I
think the counter is a little longer and added a pull out spice rack next to
the drawers on left side, a small cabinet over the frieze and the big thing that
everyone was talking about the fuses up front for leveling and slides they are
three next to the battery you can get to very easy</span>I think two
are breaker type also.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

I'm VERY happy for you and I wouldn't have waited either! I'm glad that they have changed a few things. That means they're listening to our needs and this company will grow because of it. Make sure you send out pictures (if you can on this website).

Yes the day is tomorrow! I would have loved to have picked
it up on Saturday but they had just received the unit, they were going over
everything and cleaning it up before I pick it up although I was impressed with
the way it came in, looks like they do a nice job before they ship it. Only
thing is now they are calling for rain all day here tomorrow, I will hate to
bring it home not wanting to get it dirty (no way I can wash it )<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

IPull, are you getting it from McGeorge? We are picking up a very gently-used 2011 Redwood 36RE with the red full-body paint there this coming Monday. We are beside ourselves with excitement! This is our first fifth-wheel. We also have an Airstream 25' trailer that we are keeping. We can tow either with our new Ford F350 King Ranch. Good luck to you tomorrow! Have fun!

IPull and Golfgal, big days coming for you both. It's pretty cool pulling these beautiful rigs down the road! Congratulations! I must admit I had not pulled anything longer than 27 feet prior to picking up our 36re. At 38'11" I was a bit nervous. In the end it towed great and I just had to be careful to give myself plenty of room on the turns. In my excitement to get off the lot I almost forgot to do my pre-flight checks. You know the drill, check lights, brakes, mirrors, breakaway lanyard , brake control setting etc. Ah, enough of that, I'm sure you folks are towing pros and will do your due diligence. Safe travels and keep us informed on your experience.

Congratulations golfgal on your purchase! Yes
we did and I heard about that unit a friend of mine looked at it. It must have
been nice he said you could not tell it was a used unit. H2oman got a 36RL from
them also we always camp together his is the red &amp; black full body paint
also. It is nice seeing someone else from Va on here where do you camp? Maybe all
the redwoods here in Va can get together WOW 3 red &amp; black full body paint
Redwoods in the same campground I bet that would turn some heads. Who are you
dealing with? We worked with BO

Happy camping!</span><?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
