transfering the factory warranty

I just happened to see a thread on the other RW forum stating that the original 2 year factory warranty is NOW transferable.. Here is a snipit from the post =-

"n a nutshell any coach still covered by the 2 year bumper-to-bumper warranty is eligible to have the warranty transferred to a new owner with payment of a $250 transfer fee. The warranty will be calculated from the date of the original delivery date so the new owner will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period."

I take this as a major step in the right direction , and another clue that Redwood is trying to do the right thing . . .

If that's true that really is a step in the right direction. I wouldn't even look at a used Redwood, or any other brand, if there wasn't some sort of warranty

About time someone did this. If a car warranty is transferred, why not an rv? Too late for us but glad for the change!

This was all talked about at the Rally this year and Andy announced this to the crowd that it would be transferable but never did mention the $250 or at least I didn't hear that part.

If you are buying a used Redwood that is less than 2 years old, you are probably looking at a purchase price in excess of 50K, $250 for factory warranty seems like a small price in the overall purchase.

I guess if we understand the reason for the $250 it could be swallowed better. Can't be admin, title transfer is only $20 around here and it involves the government.

That's news to me as well. Will have to watch the video again, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't there. I also don't understand the purpose behind it. Sounds like bs.

So let me get this straight: they take away the "plus 5," and tell us that's a good thing. Then console us with the transferability (which is a good thing), but will hit us up for $250 to do the transfer. So glad we have an owners' group looking out for our interests.
