Just curious...what percentage of the RW Forum membership do you think are fulltimers?

We have been fulltiming for a year and we love it. We have only been on the road a year and it's been a great year. Have plans to stay on the road for a long time.

We started our second year of fulltiming last Sept. Been in the RL for six months, wouldn't change a thing. Love our RL.

I don't full time yet but I stay in the Redwood for several weeks at a time and I pull mine more than most folks on distant business trips. Between now and June I'll be making another trip to AZ, 1 to MS and 4 trips to FL. The Redwood seems to like it

Although a very, very small sampling, over 70% of the respondents are fulltimers (I thinkI did the math correctly). I wonder if that number holds true across the whole membership.

We will be going fulltime starting January 2014, headed to FL in winter, Haines City area and back to PA in March or April. I am hoping that when the trigger is pulled we have no regrets, it is really a hard call to sell everything and go fulltime. We have started selling a lot of our stuff on craigslist and still have much more to go before then.

We're on the fence, Not officially full timers, but last year we only spent 99 days at the house, this year will probably be even less, and in 2014 not at all. We spend6+ months in Florida for the winter and the summer traveling in the North East. So I tell people we're 3/4 timers.

We are waiting for delivery of our FB next month, will spend a month or two making several short trips so we know all the kinks are resolved ( assuming there will be some), then off we go.

We've been planning this transition to FT for over a year and are soooo ready for the move.

We take delivery in May and then will shake down the trailer in Door County Wisconsin for the summer. Come September we are out of here. House is currently for sale. 6 more inches of snow in Green Bay with another 6 next Tuesday. I can't wait. My last winter in the frozen tundra

Rick I'm in Phoenix right now and several people around here are from WI and the guy next to me is from Alaska. They all say that when Phoenix gets hot and they head home Reverse snow birds

Were about to pull up stakes at our 3000 sq ft home in CA and go full time. It is life changing event to sell most of your stuff, but at the end of the day most of it is just stuff. Once you get well underway it is actually liberating. I'm sure we will off the road some day in the future and buy a small home or condo. But until then we've decided to see NA and truly experience it. We still have more furniture to sell and a car and boat. Our goal is to fit our remaining belongings in a 10x15 storage unit.

Sinder, that sound like a good plan to me. Someday I'd like to do the same but for now I'm about 1/2 time and unfortunately that 1/2 is mostly done while on business trips. At least this way I still get to pull my toy around and I don't have to check into hotels.

Good luck getting your things in order and maybe we'll meet up on the road someday.

Happy Trails

Dave it sounds like you've got it figured out. Why stay in a hotel when you have your own mobile apartment. Yup we need to meet up on the road. I'm sure our paths will cross. We are spending the summer in Minnesota to visit with family and then will begin our road trip. We already have plans to volunteer in Lassen National Park in Northern CA for 2 months in the Fall and will be making our way to Arizona for the winter.
