Do any of you that have a RW miss the oven. I have never been without an oven and I use one a lot. The GK does not have an oven. Only the Microwave/Convection. I am not sure this will really work. I have been told I can get a solar oven for outdoors, but not sure that will work either. Toaster ovens don't seem to be big enough for a small casserole dish.

When we purchased our Redwood 36FL from Lazydays they offered, and we took, classes on using the convection oven. Works well. Use convect bake setting for baking, use convect roast for cooking meat (general rule of thumb) and when baking or roasting cut the time by about 25% when using the convection oven. If you want an outdoor oven, coleman makes a good one that runs on propane, has a two burner stove, and the oven will handle a 10lb turkey. We do not miss the oven and have learned to use the convection oven. We also have a small green egg that we take and we can BBQ, smoke meat, bake pizza and other items on that grill.

We just took delivery of a 2013 36RE and, after considerable debate, chose to include the oven AND the convection microwave. We have a motorhome with just the convection microwave and have gotten along quite well, but we decided to go with both.

Is the oven not available on that model? I thought the oven was standardand the option ($250)was just the cooktop with drawers below. Maybe some floor plans are different.
We debated about that last week. DW loves the oven in ours now, and we figured we could do without the 2 drawers in favor of the smell of blueberry muffins in the morning when we dry camp. It doesn't happen too often, but we do try to make sure we has as manycreature comfortsas we can when camping withouthookups, and there are times the generatorcan kill the ambiance pretty quick.

I did not get an oven on my 36RL. I thought that my wife would use the convection oven. I was wrong. She does not like the convection oven. I ended up buying a toaster oven and put it on the counter. I wish I had the oven.

The oven was a must for us. Convection lasagna was a turn off. Airline food

The absence of an oven in our dealer inventory unit was one of the original reasons we decided to order a new 36FL. My wife said she could do without the oven. We'll see. Now I see Toby's post about lasagna, one of my wife's best dishes, and I think I'll keep this thread to myself.

We are getting along with the convection oven just fine. Really like the drawers for storage. Pros and cons to both, but no regrets.

Jack or Single Barrel Jack on the rocks blends nicely with the RV lifestyle. Not sure what that has do do with the oven debate, but it works for me.
On our 2013 36RE the oven was standard and the option was three additional storage drawers.

We opted to delete the oven and our dealer is equipping the rig with a GE Profile Advantium. This oven does it all!

Our 2012 RW34SK came without an oven but had a convection microwave instead. Since we have this type of microwave at home my wife with thrilled with the additional storage with the three drawers.

As it is in life, To Each Their Own. We used the oven once in 15 yearsin our Prowler TT, never in our Conquest TT, and only once in the Montana. We used nothing but the Convection/Microwave in the Monty all last winter, so we opted for the drawers in our RW. Convection works for us.

I can't imagine supper at night without an oven. We use our almost daily. Besides, the smell of chocolate chip cookies coming out of a convectionmicrowave doesn't smell nearly he same.

Did you have that Apollo convection oven in your Montana or the Samsung? Our Apollo was replaced twice before we just surrendered on it and went to a standard microwave. That may be why my wife insisted that the oven stays, I'm not sure.
