The keyless entry on our 36FL died today. It was working fine until I overloaded and tripped the 30 amp breaker on the campground's service post. I reset the breaker and everything seemed normal until I tried using the fob to lock the door....nothin. I tried the other fob to see if that was the problem but, as before, nothing happened. The problem must be in the door mechanism
I don't have the keypad on my unit, just the fobs and keys.
Anyone else ever have this happen? If so, what was the solution?

The 2nd door and keyless entry work just fine,

Had similar issue. did you replace the batteries in the door handle? What about reset? Do you have the reset instructions? Our one door keyless system was non responsive. I sent a email to rvlock.com about the faulty equipment and was contacted by them. We went thru a series of tests and resets and when nothing worked rvlock sent us a replacement mechanism. If you do not have reset instructions, let me know and I will send a copy to you.

That is very odd. The Lock system is battery powered so tripping the breaker shouldn't have had any affect. This is a head scratcher.

Our keyless entry is connected to the DC Panel - If the house battery is of then the door lock does not work.

Are you sure about the connection to the DC system? Ours has two double As in the door assembly, a 2032 coin battery in the Key Pad, and not sure what's in the Key Fobs.

Well.... We moved to a new campground today and the key-less is working fine. I don't know why it stopped working yesterday or why it decided to work fine today. It may be one of life's unsolved mysteries.

One other surprise I had yesterday was the propane alarm going off. I thought maybe I had some sort of electronic poltergeist in the ol' Redwood but it turned out to be a bad regulator. The door side LP tank has a 30psi regulator about 18" down the line and it was leaking. The closest authorized service center was an hour away so I found the part locally and replaced it myself. That'll be a $60.00 bill I'm sending to Crossroads.
I don't understand why they have the regulator there in the first place. Both tanks feed into the top of a two-stage regulator/tank selector. The service line for the LP fired appliances exits the bottom of the tank selector switch. Having the extra regulator seems, as Jake from 2 1/2 men would say, redumnant.

Keyfobs? Is that some kind of option or something that I was supposed to get but did not?
I have the round keypad to the left of the door on our 36RL and 2 plain old "stickem in the lock and turnem" keys. We sure did NOT get any keyfobs!

options with a cost. However, they work wonderful. I synced two keyfobs to work both doors on our 36FL. Real easy, gettting out of the truck, press a button, both doors unlock. On a side note, our keyless entry for our front door was replaced under warranty. I replaced both the door mechanism as well as the keypad next to the door. I found that the keypad was wet when I removed it. It is just stuck on with two sided tape. I sealed both key pads with clear silacone to prevent water from getting into the mechanism.

I am sure about the 12 volt system. If the house power (12 volt battery ) cut-off is turned off, the keyless entry does not work. As a note - I do not have a keypad, only fobs.

That's interesting, then they must be using two different suppliers. Ours is from RV Lock and can also be bought as an upgrade to the std lock assy found on most other RVs. And the only setup they show on their Web Site is a battery operated system. Ours came with only the Key Pad, but I ordered two key fobs, tried to order extra keys, but they haven't gotten setup to supply additional keys or key blanks yet, was told to check back in a month or so.

I also tried to order an extra set of keys and was told "not yet".

I think these keyless door locks from rvlocks are fairly new and buggy in their design. I'm getting a second one sent to me after the original, then the replacement failed. Cheap actuation motor and too many plastic drive parts makes this a weak design. Lippert has a keyless also, but it looks exactly like the rvlocks model with a different color. Doesn't look like these will hold up to full time use. I would have to say that nothing on a fifth wheel trailer is "over engineered". Possibly the lug nuts?
