Flex Air - VS Tri Glide ?

If you read some of my comments earlier about my Tri Glide , you will know that I am not comfortable with it. It has been making a lot of NOISE while stopping and starting , and it keeps spitting grease back at me in little streams . . I grease all 9 zerks , and still have a ton of movement with my fingers...

Everything is tight , and no visible cracks or issues so far.

I have been thinking about dumping the Tri-Glide and replacing it with the Flex Air . .

What say you ???

Joe, I'm dumping mine this Summer, don't trust it and can't stand the banging. Halfway through a 3400 mile trip and have greased it 3 times.

I will either be going to a MorRyde Pinbox and a Comfortride Hitch (99% likely), or else dumping the TriGlide and going to a FlexAir.

I like the Air and shock portions... Wont get that with the MORryde.. And I have no plans to swap out my hitch for an air ride version....

Etrailer quoted the same exact number as the Lippert/Redwood special pricing with no tax or shipping..

Yes if I keep the Reesei ill go with theFlex Air

Towing (non full-time) with the Reese/TrailAir combo for years with no problems at all. Might purchase Flex Air for same reason as switching to H114s. No real need, just improving...

When I have MorRyde install the IS Suspension in a few weeks, I am also switching to the MorRyde Pin Box at the same time.

I will see how the ride is with the MorRyde suspension and pin box with my standard Curt Q24 before I decide whether to look at a hitch change or not.

Rob - when you sent the measurements to them what number OinBix did they suggest ?
Was it a 1621 ? Just want to see if we both came up with the same.

I did not sent measurements, I sent the serial number on the frame which includes the pin box that Lippert supplied with the frame.

Mine is a 1621... The tag on the inbox even states it. -- 1621

I verified it with Lippert and Redwood..

I've been on the fence for some time in doing this exchange. Checked with Lippert and they won't do a swap at the Rally, but maybe with enough of us interested we could get Lippert to bring them to the campgroud and we could work together changing them out. With enough hands and bodies shouldn't be to bad a job.
What say fellows, sound like a plan??
