Electrical problems

After moving from Oklahoma to NM, everything was working. The next morning I woke up and nothing was working on the left side of the breaker panel. No GFI outlets, microwave, ceiling fan, living room AC, in order to get the AC working, I pulled the 15/20 amp breaker from the right side of the panel and pulled the wire from the 15 amp side, capped it off and installed a 20/20 amp breaker and put both AC wires in the breaker. I have AC working on both units. But not much else. I also replaced the main 50 amp breaker, no luck? Anyone have any suggestions?
