When we set up, I always use 2x12 x2 blocks of pressure treated wood. At least 2 on each jack and sometimes as many as 4 if the site isn't level. Between that and the Caterpillar Hydraulic...

Also helps to keep the extension to a minimum with extra blocks. On mine, the shorter distance the Jack is extended, the less it does it..
