the air bag pin did not stop ours from cracking and
I assume my 2013 gk was too early to figure out a cosmetic fix,
so we assumed it was a weld issue - it was still cracked when I moved on.

The 38gk we had experienced a long time ago and we were very part time travelers....

Until the crack appeared I always thought it was the neat air bagged hitch...

Note that not only do they have a form to fill out and send to redwood, but they also have a page in your manual that must be filled out...

Since I never knew there was a small manual like this -...

Ours is in the shop for that...

Been told it is just cosmetic and they will put something like a highway 'expansion joint' there...
we'll see !
