My humble opinion is that the slide mechanism was designed to hold and move the slide....
let's say that is 1,000 lbs for arguments sake...

let's say a slide jack could have up to half the weight...

Everything I've ever heard suggest you NOT use...

Everything I've ever heard suggest you NOT use slide jacks !!! if the rv settles (which it will) it will put stress on the slide system and possibly stop the system from working ...

then take one...
