I also have 6 bolts on each side of the pin box...

I also have 6 bolts on each side of the pin box on my 2012 36RL with the Trail-Air.

Welcome to the world of the RAM! :) I have had very good luck with mine so far, although, this is the only heavy duty that I have ever owned and have no way to compare to any other brands.
