Did that a year ago. Used wide band velcro from Home Depot. Makes it much easier and the pump is directly behind the easily removed center panel. Already had a spare pump from last trailer.

If I get ambitious I may replace the standard valve in the pump suction line with a three way valve. That way we are not depending on a plastic cap screwed onto the end of a hose for positive closure.

Water Pump Runs Continuously
