I think the fix would have to involve some type...

I think the fix would have to involve some type of heat tape or heavy insulation on the existing type of line to prevent it from getting freezing air to it.:)

Pex material is somewhat resistant to freezing but I don't think it would be feasible in this application since it needs to bend and flex quite a bit when the slide moves in and out.
