I wouldn't store my unit in cold weather with the slides out unless it was in a heated building. You are taking a bigger chance of getting frost etc. in the unit. I was referring to a unit stored...

I don't think it matters if they are in or out if it is in an enclosure. However they do recommend that if your slides are out for an extended period of time that you do run them in and back out...
