We had popping too, and we were instructed to spray silicone lube on all jacks once or twice a month, depends where you are located. Its easy and seems that it protects jacks from pitting too.

We had "popping" too, shortening jacks and using tripod support, our popping has stoped. Talking to other owners, over extended jacks are cause sometimes of "popping". It worked for us, good luck!

They did not "fix" poping problem in new units, I just picked up 2013 model and it has same issues as any other one. Please keep talking about it and hope there is a permanent fix for poping jacks.
