I think the weight was a trade off to the carpet...

I think the weight was a trade off to the carpet and Lino removed. used a Lino Knife and pliers to remove the carpet under the slides

There was foil under the carpet in the slide....

There was foil under the carpet in the slide. There was none under the carpet anywhere else. It was not glued down

We replaced all the carpet with vinyl wood...

We replaced all the carpet with vinyl wood planking. There was no lino under the carpet.
