I my self do like change , but not in the wife department ( I here that can be more expensive than changing trucks every 3 years). I do think it will be quite a while before we changes homes again....

The rims don't blow but the tire bead can blow past the rim bead lock or the valve stem can blow if they use the rubber stem.

I can tell you that of all blow out repairs we do at my shop are from the good year marathon but the g614's come in second place for blow outs. You are probably correct in saying they do not check...
