If you had the 5 year warranty when your unit was built, they have no choice but to back up the warranty. A company has to grandfather in changes to a warranty.

I would agree with Rick. This roof issue should be covered under the 5 year warranty that now Redwood claims was worthless. I would make several phone calls on this problem.
