I'm sure that's the case, the odd thing is "LT" stands for light truck yet the tire is not a truck tire and not marketed as such, it's a 75 mph speed rated Trailer tire. Maybe they used the LT...

The 614's are speed rated at 75 mph, St's are speed rated at 65 mph. It is sold as a trailer tire and not a truck tire so I think you are correct it is a LT/ST hybrid tire for trailers.

The G614 tires are an LT tire! They are G rated rather than E rated. I don't believe there are any ST tires made with A G rating and a 3750LB weight rating in a 16"

Wouldn't it be be interesting to see some sort of test on RV tires that showed heat relative to speed? I'd be curious to see tire temp differences say between 60 and 65 MPH. My though is it wouldn't...
