Rock gaurd mud flaps

I have this same set up that has never been used .http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...receiver/77617

The only reason I haven't used them is that I decided to buy a dually and they aren't wide enough for the dual wheels.

I will sell these cheep if you cover the shipping.

My wife and I would be interested in buying yours if they are still available.

Seriously Dave, they don't fit a dually?! I was told they could be adjusted to fit. In fact, I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a set.

No, they mount directly to the fender well, but are wide to cover both rear wheels

I wonder what the pros and cons are of the traditional mud flaps, like yours, and the rock tamer type brand. And do folks have a preference for one or the other.

Personally, I prefer the traditional. I don't like the look of the hitch mounted flaps, I think they look "cheesy". When you unhook and drive the TV down the road, fender mounted flaps look classy

Our dealership installed the mud flaps on our dually as 'advertising'. Not sure about the quality of them, tho.

I have had a set of rock tamers for a couple of years and yes they do fit a dually.

My Rock Tamers only went out enough to cover half the tire on the outside on my dually, so I sold them.

I also was a little frustrated with them, as when towing to Texas, the wind was blowing like heck as a crosswind. The flaps wouldn't stay tightened on the hitch and would rub the flap bolts up against my chrome bumper scratching the heck out of the chrome, and the flaps were actually hitting the front of my Montana and the SS Rock Tamer logo also has nuts on the back that scratched the Montana. I took them off the rest of the trip. It wasn't as bad on the Redwood because the front is lower to the ground than the Montana was. In the end If figured the flaps were doing more damage than they were saving damage. My factory Ford flaps will have to do.

They only look classy when you have the chrome silhouette of the pretty woman on them

Those chrome ladies are dangerous though. About 10 years ago, a truck that was passing me had a blowout and his mud flap exploded with his tire sending the chrome lady foot first into the side of my front wheel. It got interesting for a while.
