New Tow Vehicle

I changed my mind from a 2015 F350 dually to a 2014 Ram 3500 dually. This will match the 2015 38gk with black, silver and gray paint nicely.!!!! redwood 085.jpg

I guess I had better change signature to RAM 2014 DUALLY

I thought I had read somewhere that dodge was going to offer factory air ride. Has anybody heard if they are offering it yet?

Smart choice! I wouldn't think of hitching one of our monster RWs onto a SW. We ordered ours in white ... It's actually 40 degrees cooler inside in the summer sun, so a much reduced load on the AC. We're about a week away from delivery of our 3500, then it's off to the up fitter to get its body mounted. (Picture of the Knapheide Westerner body in my album)

Funny how we want to match the truck with our rig...when we ordered our Ford Ruth insisted on the truck color so it would match the RW, we lived in No Georgia, they found the truck in IL so it had several hundred miles on it when we picked it up!!

But, Ruth is happy...and if momma ain't happy...nobody's happy!!!

It really is a pretty good match, we get lots of comments on how much they match.

I was considering sw and finally caved in and bought a dually. I sure hated to add 2 tires, wide hips, rotation issues, and 373 gears to reduce fuel mileage. I know some people pull 42 feet with sw; I just know I will be fulltiming and have extra tonnage with me. Better safe than sorry. The dually is for the "o crap" moments. I'm getting older and prone to more mistakes.

I had the same reservations but once I pulled with the dually, I would never go back.

Wise choice!!!

You do get used to the extra wide hips...but you have to constantly think about where you are so you avoid those situations where you're simply too wide to fit. Perpendicular parking spots in narrow parking lots, drive-thru's, narrow streets...

I remember some of the thread about a hitch for a 14 RAM. I ordered a B and W. It will be here in about 3 days. Its the one with the goose neck or 5th wheel option. I will be adding a tire pressure system, tint front windows, mud flaps all four wheels, tonneau cover and air bags. Money is just flying out of my pockets.

I think the air ride is an option on the new '15 Dodges. I looked at their website and its listed when you build the truck. Haven't seen any feedback yet.

Betting in a few years they all do this.

The air ride for the 2014+ Rams Heavy Duty's is an option that will be available in the next month or so.

I know for a fact you can no longer order a 2014 model Ram. The rebate program is on to clear out 14's. I bought about $11,500 off of list including military rebate and $857. dealer hold back. That is one of the reasons I bought a Ram. I saved about $8000. vrs a F350.

Very nice truck, congrats. Please share which type of mud flaps you get once you get them. Safe travels.
