I guess I didn't look at the title - but thanks for the Texas Snarp!

Why would you care. Its an insurance problem, not yours.

insurance companies are going to charge more if trucks are easily declared a loss. There's no free lunch in business.

Maybe you are being a little paranoid. Several vehicles have been constructed out of aluminum for years. Lets let it play out. Certainly you check out insurance rates before you buy, and if they are too high, don't buy it.

Brad, I like you no matter what!! LOL! I am currently driving a DRW Ram. And I love it. I am a died the wool Ford man that was dragged kicking and screaming to a Ram dealer. Would still be a Ford man except for the infamous 6.0 power stroke. For me it was great. Gave me 187K basic trouble free miles. But Ford would not honor nor give me nothing for it. So after many years and 7 different Ford Ford vehicles. I walked away to Ram. 13,900 dollars better deal on a truck that was way more equipped than any Ford. I would gladly go back to the Ford. ESPECIALLY if the were to put a Cummins in it. To me that would be the perfect truck. Ford with a Cummins. OH What a dream!!!

I almost had a white and gold Longhorn in front of mine when I had my 2008 Ford that was giving me some trouble, but when I finally got around to go get serious, it was gone.

I have no problem with Dodge, and I actually drove chev for years. chev isn't my favorite, but the bailout made me a firm boycotter of them.

Welcome mister bailout
You may want to check in the history books where in 2008 ford received billions in bailout money to keep from going bankrupt

MFoster12, Congrad on the purchase.. I have a 2014 3500 DRW, Ho Cummins with the Aisin. So far I have loved this truck. I was a GM person but decided to try something new and have not regretted it. Now that being said, I have had approx seven (7) software upgrades and, though not Rams fault, four (4) radios. Now that I see there are a few Ram owners out there I have a question. For the last two years my tempature seem to stay pretty stead at around 194. Recently my temp varies between 194 to 210. It does not seem to settle down just continually fluctuates. Do you see the same?I am thinking it may be a bad thermostat. Dealersvsays it is with in normal temps so nothingnis wrong. Let me know. Thanks Tom

Did Dodge fix that wifi hacking issue they had when your phone connected to the radio? I remember seeing it on the news a while back and started wondering about my rental cars.

Congrats! When deciding to buy a lightly and lovingly used 36RL I debated on the truck. Finally decided on the Ram DRW crew with long box (Laramie). I went with the 3.43 ratio and Aisen, as it is also my daily driver for real estate. I get 16 combined mpgs and never think twice about towing my Redwood. I miss some aspects of my Chevy but have been really pleased with the power, fit, comfort, look, and power of the Cummins. No regrets at all and wayyyy better then the whine of the third alternative...with no sag on the back end.

And I use an Andersen Hitch which has been GREAT!
