F250 hitch?

Completely new to 5th wheel. I will soon take possession of a new 36 RL. I have an f250 diesel for my tv (I know, some wil say only 1 ton DRW, but it is what I have for now). Give me some hitch recommendations for it.

What year is the truck? I know that my 36RL makes my Dodge DRW squat pretty good. I want to say that my king pin weight is about 4000 pounds or so.

Sorry for the lack of info. My truck is a 2015 f250 with 20" wheels and heavy duty tires

I believe those have the really nice pin in style hitches. I would stay with something around the 20k pound capacity look at the overall weight of the hitch as far as how much the unit weighs. For you these will be very important.

I have a curt 24000 lb in mine and like it. It is probably middle of the road or slightly above in price

B&W Turnover Ball with 5th Companion, light weight (which you'll need), very easily removed, flawless hitch/unhitch to your 5er, & you'll have a gooseneck hitch if ever needed.

Do you have a short bed or long bed ?

If short bed you should get a slider...

We use our 2008 F250 SRW SD diesel with long bed for towing our 2012 36RL. Our hitch is a Reese 20K pro. Works well for us. The truck came with 4" factory lift. Still clears the bed rails by 5 or 6 inches and its level.

Please disregard this post/question. We backed off the deal for the 36rl. Thinking that the 31sl will be better for our needs. Now looking for the right deal.

Smart move unless you want to buy both a truck and trailer.

We did exactly the same thing. Looked at the 36 and loved it!

When we checked the weights, we bought the 31. It is plenty big for us and we did not have to buy another truck.

The added benefit is it is easier to maneuver.
